Just tell her and she can make her choice. 2 weeks away, or 2 weeks sat in front of the TV while you go away for 2 weeks of ogling topless sunbathers....
I fixed your post for you.... no need to thank me...

Oh No, the second week is the best week to watch -

You need a plan - with the £300 plus that you have saved, find out what devise will play the matches, as someone suggested above, buy her whatever she will need to play them on, then tell her you lovingly booked a 2 week holiday and you have ALREADY sorted out how she can watch any of the matches whilst there - brownie points galore

We are off on our 5th holiday to Greece again in May :D

Good to hear of another Greek fan :D Do you go to the same place each time ? we've been going for the past 20 years - tried most Islands but discovered Thassos 10 years ago and never looked back - the island has not changed hardly at all - even the Greeks themselves holiday there - English tourists are in the minority but this suits us :D

Why not treat your wife to centre court tickets for a day at Wimbledon in the first week with all that cash you've saved. :) and then everybody's a winner(even Murray hopefully). :D

FilmOn Family app works outside the UK, I've watched on a Kindle Fire

Our last four holidays have been to Lesvos, Nielsons Beach/Sports holidays - all inclusive of all the equipment - excellent value and way out of the way of any noise, drunks, towns ect ect its lovely and quiet, food extrordinary variety and tons of it and any sport you want - sailing, cycling, kayaking, swimming, tennis, pool, water skiing, wakeboarding, or just lazing around :D

We are trying one of their other centers in May - cant wait.,

Lesvos ? Is that the same as Lesbos ? Been there a few years back - can't remember where we stayed but in our eyes anywhere in Greece is good :D

Still haven't told her yet

Let's get one thing clear - I'm not scared of my wife - I'm a lot bigger and uglier so what's to be scared of

Yes you are - the clue is in the title - "SWMBO" :o

What you need to do is convince her that it's Her idea to go away at this time, once it's HER idea all will be well

And, just remember the two rules for a long, happy  , marriage.

Ohhh, yes we do!! :D (Hope, that it' s a good one, though..)
Which "heaven" in particular are you visiting, just out of curiosity?
Probably, it will be on Greek cable TV!
Lesvos is the same with Lesbos (and pretty nice actually), this is when you're free to say "it all sounds greek to me.."

Scala Potamia in Thassos - started going to Greece in 1994 - did the rounds of most of the popular Islands ie Zante ,Corfu , Kos , Lesbos , Kefalonia , Skiathos - discovered Thassos about 12 years ago and have never looked back :D Quiet and relaxed resort.

Taverna.s down by the sea , horseshoe golden sandy bay 3 kilometres long ,gently shelving beach , very friendly people .

Nice one!!!
Been to all those islands, trully great.
The last 2 years I decided to stop touring the islands and remembered the second foot of Chalkidiki (aka Sithonia) for the same reasons; Quiet and relaxed resort, just a glimpse from where I'm staying.
p.s. You should try Koufonisia in Kyklades as well, ticks all your boxes I think.

What happened with op, have you told her yet :0)

Think we need a 'best' holiday thread :0)

Not told her yet but dropped a few hints that we will be back in Thassos in July :D :D

Finally told her and boy was I in trouble - turns out it wasn't so much Wimbledon but Dexy our cat - our neighbour who looks after Dex is going away herself 3 days before we get back - not a real problem I would have thought - just get someone else to come round twice a day to feed him . She was even talking about flying back 3 days early on her own to feed young Dex :( :(

To restore peace in our household I spent about an hour on the phone with Thomson and have managed to change the dates so we go 3 days earlier :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

cost a bit but she's put up with me for 45 years so I reckon it's fair enough :) :) :) :) :)

Your trip is cursed ... with Greece facing the abyss it will be riots whilst you are there ....

Only joking, I am sure they won't want to destroy the only remaining asset they have over there, i.e. tourism :D

What sort of travel insurance do you have?
