Do I have Blind Spot monitoring?

Daft question perhaps … As per the title. Don’t think I have but how do I check? Had a look through the menus but haven’t spotted anything.

If you mean the system which tells you if a car is approaching from the side, then look at your door mirrors. You should be able to see a warning triangle which illuminates in the outside bottom corner.

Thanks for the information.
Just popped in to the garage and had a look … not fitted!
Thanks for your help

Not wanting to add further salt, however, It is a very useful feature to have, especially when driving on roads with more than one lane and at junctions of acute angles due to the big blind spot the car has.

Mine does have blind spot detection but interestingly my iDrive menu only has “Lane change warning” listed as an option and not “Active Blind Spot Detection”, pages 197/8 in the PDF manual are different too.

It works fine but I have switched off the steering wheel vibration which I detest, some sort of audible beep would be better for me, as my MX-5 used to have.

Thought it only works above a certain speed.

Was driving down the busy motorway yesterday in a line of traffic. Was passed by a BMW suv, not sure what model, in the adjacent lane. As it passed the next few cars in my lane the orange warning light in its near side wing mirror flashed on each time. My car definitely doesn’t do that even though all assistance options are currently on. So now I know I haven’t got it even though the car seems to have most options selected.
