My car is parked on the drive for large parts of the winter months and is protected by a Weathershield car cover. During this time it is on a trickle charge.
I have used it and kept it like this for 4 years with intermittent use, predominately in the summer. The last couple of times i have removed the cover and turned the ignition... nothing, not a click nothing, turn it again and it start all is then fine. The car was serviced in September no problems have been highlighted. What could this be?

Check the battery voltage after you have had the charger removed for an hour or so to see if it is in good condition. Look for something like 12.6v
Aside that I'd suspect a slightly corroded connection on something like the starter solenoid.

Since it starts and runs each time I'd not worry about it
