Hi all,as above really, not wanting to spend a heap on a kit, does anyone know if the stealers sell a soft top brush?

Andy,

Do you mean a brush for washing?if so,there is a small one that comes in the oem convertible kit,but its nothing special.

Ive heard on here that you are supposed to brush the top prior to washing, but i dont want to damage the fibres with the wrong type. :?

I use a lint roller to, but it's no good when you are cleaning the roof in preparation to apply a protector to it.

I think there are several different things here:

For cleaning I generally just use the hose with nothing attached to rinse off, or sometimes the standard hose brush that is very soft and leave it at that.

For deep cleaning prior to treatment I vacuum it then when wet with cleaner use a very soft nylon nailbrush to gently work the cleaner.

For general dry removal of bits the lint roller (5 for £5 at Costco)

At all times my concern is to avoid 'piling' the fabric through any excess rubbing, etc.
Prevention is the key though with biannual use of Ragtopp and it still looks brand new after 7+ years
