Hi guys

looking to get a z4 2.2 in a few months and am already looking at what i can do with it ( itching already ). first thing to do it the sound. i love music so think thats the first thing. now im not in to all these subs and crap thats not me. but i do like good speekers that sound clear. so my idea is to get a satnav screen flip up thing that comes with some zs and put a 7 inch tablet in there and have all my music on that. but obvuisly i need a way of putting the sound in to the stereo and i dont want to go down the route of putting in a new stereo because i think that would look a little out of place in a intiror that so well desgined. so do all stock radios have a sound input of some sort. cheers guys

what do you mean by that. dose it have like a spcial conector on the back and you need a bmw lead to convert it. also how much do the flip up screens go for as seen some on ebay go for like 2k how the hell. failing that dose anyone know of a universal one that dose the same job. i dont really need a screen in it as il be gutting it and putting a tablet in there

Here is an example of aux interface, just plugs in the back if you get the right one. You may have to transfer the ion though.

You should be able to get a screen for less than £200. Somebody like danmiddle2 can offer assistance on connecting as you will not be able to connect as you don't have the required loom and additional hardware to drive it.

the loom and things like that shoudlent be a matter as i will only requer power to charge the device and to flip the screen up and cheers for your help. and what is a ion.

sorry, auto correct. You may have to transfer the pins.

Contact Dan about the screen as I don't think it was just as simple as finding which was the power and earth cables. He has an interface he has built for it.
