DME MS43 softwareversion MS430070

Hello guys,

i´m currently trying to reverse-engineer the Siemens MS43 with some decent progress and i stumbled upon a software version which to me seems pretty unique. So far i know of MS430037, MS430055, MS430056, MS430064, MS430066 and MS430069.

Yesterday evening i got a pretty special software from a MS43 out of a Z4 which shows MS430070, which i didn´t know by now.

My question would be, is there anyone here with a stock M54 based Z4 and has the most actual software from BMW? If so, i´d like you to take a screenshot of I*pa showing the Zusammenbaunummer (ZSBN) for further developing progress

I thought the m54 z4 always had a siemens ms45?
Anyway I don't have a stock z4 tune anymore (ess tune) so I cant help you with that.

Do you know the softwareversion of your file? I´ve got my hands on the Alpina version for reverse-engineering the DTC error handling, but its just a mess within IDA to compare to different software versions. :thumbsdown:

I cannot find ZSBN in INPA, but maybe this is what you mean? (SGBD)

now that you´re posting that screenshoots i wonder if Z4 was delivered with Siemens MS43 at all?! Or is it just the Alpina Roadster...

Got it all sorted, we successfully reverse-engineered the error handling for the single-vanos setup from the alpina engine We can now use any MS43 and get it working with a single-vanos engine.

Probably not as there is currently no matching software for the damos file and i haven´t found anyone to help disassembling it. Its using a completely different processor as MS42/43 and the flash is 4times as big if i remember correctly. It´ll probably much easier to convert to MS43.
