DME - have I broken it?

The reason it looks like that is because I put the wrong socket connector into the plug - it's slightly smaller than the rest which is why it looks a bit different. That's how I broke the pin, but in my defence I was following the instructions as that's the connector that my instructions said to use!
 
you are right, I'm thinking of some different plugs, but can think which ones, prob IT related.

Guess I'm also trying to find out where you guys may have gone wrong in the hope we can all find an asnwer.

PVR is contacting the dutch member on the other forum for me though, so home this may shine a light.
