DME Fault 2.2i se E85

Hi, need some advice...i have a 2005 E85 2.2i se and the DME has gone......can i just purchase one from ebay and plug it in and the car will start.

Numbers on it are

5WK93014 index 02
7527072

Or, do i need to buy a complete kit...including keys etc ...and will this then plug and play ?

Think you will find it has to be coded to the car so the EWS locking system will work with it as they have to talk to each other to enable the car to crank and run. INPA software should be able to do this as far as I know.
 
New DME deffo needs to be coded as Colb has pointed out.
Not sure INPA can do that though. It might be a winfkp or DIS job. Still doable at home. There are probably forum members that can assist via remote desktop if you need.
I know there is a chap on bimmerforum that offers DME updates via remote desktop.
