DME/EWS issuue

2003 2.5 cranks, fuel pump does not prime and there is minimal spark. Keys are correct. Code shows "voltage supply, EWS3 control module".
Battery at 12.4 volts. It also shows" EWS sends invalid variable code. Independent synchronization between DME and EWS not possible". The car had been parked for 2 years before I acquired it. Anyone offer any insights?

Battery good? Always the first check.
Next, where are you? Some of us on here are equipped to tell the DME not to check with the EWS. That would probably solve your issue.

Try resyncing the DME to the EWS using INPA or some other software.

I am in NW Illinois. I do not have INPA. I have a laptop to put it on but have not found a reliable site to download from?
