I just bought these and they were in dire need of a refurb on the polished lip. So I a
went to work with various grades of wet & dry and polishing compound to give me these results.

I'm delighted in the finish although I've still got to put a final finish polish on them and seal them, but it's pissing down now.

All done for about £5. :thumbsup:
 
They look good!

I have the same on my TiSilver roadster and the lips have started corroding. Were the lips of yours lacquered and if so... have you W&D'd that off completely then polished the lips?

I'm thinking about getting the lips of mine stripped and just polished, then keep on top them with the AutoSol!

Yea they were laquered, I just removed it all and I've coated them in FK100p and I'll just keep on top of them that way.
 
Exact same wheels and the exact same issue. I think I'll do mine as well, you've inspired me.

How long does it take per wheel?
 
When I had 108's on my Z4 and refurbed them, I had issues applying the lacquer to my polished rim. In the end I went unlacquered and just kept on top of it with polishing and protecting (FK 1000P too funnily enough), but it became a PITA so I sold them! I know it's not a major thing but I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle.

Those are looking superb though :thumbsup:

I took my time probaly about 90minutes on each wheel. Glad I insprire you, go for it, it's not difficult just take your time. You will need a good polisher though, I've ordered a polish ball for doing them in the future.
