Hi everyone
After getting quotes for bonnet and bumper respray upwards to £1500 I thought I'd be a bit more down to earth and try learn a bit myself, it's been detailed professionally before and a few marks wet sand marks have been left behind from stone chip repairs but really not that bad ..plus a few scratches and light swirls
I have so far, with advice from this lovely forum : purchased:
A) Maguires ultimate compound
B) 12 polishing foam pads from eBay
C) pack of clay bars from eBay
D) 50 cal Cover up filler glaze
E) Topaz hybrid / wax polish
Plan is to remove the wet sand marks, and scratches by hand (in photos, hoping it's clear coat because I can't feel them with my finger nails ... then if unsuccessful purchase a DA and learn from there ...
Sensible way of doing this ? Or doing it by hand is impossible on hard bmw paint ?
Mine is a deep sea blue e89
Cheers!
