DIY cruise problem

The stalk was £9.98, the cruise module £14.20. The connectors in total were the most expensive bit actually.
Just finished putting it all back together after cutting the cowl, so everything is finished.

It works, can't believe I made that mistake. Thanks for all the help.

Congratulations! Must have been a great feeling when it finally worked!

Your mistake will help others in the future, we all make them, unfortunately yours has been aired on the Internet for all to read :D

BMW connectors and pins are really expensive. £1 a pin is excessive.

Luckily I gambled with aliexpress and they had the same quality and fit as BMW but a tenth of the price.

That's a great result, especially given what E85/86 stalks cost now!

My E87 and E90 both had a similar control stalk to the Z4 so if you could sort the wiring out they might also be a cheapish option?

I paid about £15 for the connectors from UK sites.
