disk splash guard 4th bolt hole issue

I have been thinking and reading about this more.....

The bottom M6x12 hex bolt hole seems to be threaded to a certain extent, not completely - it is catching at points.

When I get around to looking at this again and replacing with the new guard, I was planning to give the thread hole a good clean, just to ensure it's not bottoming out with thread gunk. Assuming it cleans well but still doesn't provide the tightest of fits, I was wondering about either using threadlock red and leaving to cure (at as tight as it will go), an/or using a washer to back it up to allow a better catch at the tighten spot, and / or using pte tape on the thread.

I wondered if anyone had strong experience of using / not using any of the above approaches?

The guard would be held firm by the top 3 bolts, and I'm not expecting to have to take it off again. It's not a safety critical part, but the concern would be either rattle without it on, or the risk of it being rattled out and flying off mid journey....

All views appreciated, thanks.
