Discs & Brake pads

What type of Front Discs & Pads does everybody have ?
I find that i have to replace them on my 2007 3.0 SI & just wondering if there are any recomendations out there ?
 
I found Red Stuff was a good compromise, especially as they're less dusty & the compound doesn't glue itself to the alloy.

Look for eBay sellers for 330 3 series E46 for the fronts, not sure of the equivalent of the facelift on the rears
 
Textar e-pads are very good IME, not the cheapest, but less dust and a good stop.

Personally, I'd go for either brembo discs from an online store or just standard discs from eurocarparts, and then textar epads.
 
Another vote for red stuff pads with Brembo max discs.

Think I am going to go for the MTEC kit soon (silver coated, with Mintex pads). Not universally praised, but they look like good value and should do the job for everyday usage.

When I upgraded to e46 325mm rotors on the front, was given Mintex pads at a good price. They certainly work, but produce far more brake dust than the Red Stuff ever did

Ah, that's interesting, cheers. My wheels are the colour of brake dust though, so not too fussed. :D
 
I went with Pagid Discs and pads from ECP, I've only put 400 miles on them so far but no complaints so far.
 
Ok just been let down, ordered Brembo Max 325mm discs on monday, received notification that they had been dispatched yesterday, only to find out that today they are out of stock :headbang:
Just occurred to me, do i need different carriers to accomodate the discs on my 2007 3.0 Si and any recommendations as to where to purchase ?
 
Ok, just answering my own question after looking through the forum, it would appear not but does anyone know where i can get them or an equivalent ?
