Disconnecting the iBus lead from the multiplug

I'm attempting the Stuart Truman cd removal method which calls for the disconnection of the iBus wire (pin 9) from the multiplug. However I can't see how the wire is released from the block.

I have removed the blue plastic cover & assumed there would just be a catch to release & the wire would come out. Am I on the right track with this?

Is this the wire in the small plugs on the head unit. If so then yes there is a cover which slides off.

Got it out.

CD is still not ejecting though :x

Are you trying to get a CD out of the DVD drive from doing a firmware update?

No I'm trying to get a cd out of the head unit. It's in a constant read cycle.

I would take the cover off the radio and remove the disc manually.

If only it were that simple.

See this post - "with a CD stuck in the drive you can't easily get at it as it protrudes from the mechanism and interferes with the case. You can remove the two TOR-X screws and gently lift the mechanism out of the case, but don't as you cannot easily get the CD out.

I guess I could try disconnecting/re-connecting the battery.
