Disconnecting battery

Hello, you’ll need a 10mm spanner or socket to undo the terminals. I think there is a 10mm spanner in the tool roll.
However, I’d recommend buying the small Halfords advanced 40 pc 1/4 drive set for £30 or so. It will have enough for most basic tasks. If you are removing the battery I think you have to undo some plastic nuts which hold the plastic housing under the boot floor. These are tricky to impossible to get out with a spanner.

Just to add….always disconnect the black/negative lead first….and when reconnecting the battery reattach the same black lead last.
If you're just disconnecting (i.e. not for removal) just remove the -ve.
Halfords small socket set is a good addittion to your tool kit, small enough to keep in the boot, Max socket size I think is 13mm so it contains a good range of socket sizes you are likely to need for most things on the car, larger sizes for oil pan plug and some Hex bits will be needed for gearbox and Diff plugs so those will be a few extras you may need for oil changes.
Think it's all been said, but as i changed a battery yesterday I'll reiterate.
10mm spanner required. Undo the negative terminal (Black) first. Then disconnect the positive (Red) and be sure to keep it away from any metal in the engine bay. Finally loosen the rods that hold it place and carefully lift it out. Reverse to replace. Be sure to connect the Positive (Red) first. Obvious but put the plastic caps on the old battery before you Start humping it around to dispose of it. Never tried it, but I gather a shock from a car battery is not fun.
