Disa valve

Hi guys, still waiting on my log book to arrive so unsure what engine I have in my 2011 Z4, it’s a 3litre Auto.

Reason I’m wanting to know as trying to familiarise myself with engine, I’ve been reading about the Disa valve but what I wish to know is; is the E89 Z4 30i fitted with them and is there just one or two ?

If it’s a sDrive 3.0i then the engine will be a N52B30. As far as I am aware it has a DISA valve. But don’t take my word for it!

I’ve found it has two, but can’t seem to find best place with reputable feedback also no upgrade kits.
Maybe I over think things but I’m more on preventable maintenance rather than it works so let’s forget, personally as it’s a serviceable part should be on list for service but isn’t.

Just from a quick look at link seem I’m gonna be busy while working nights reading lol. Excellent help indeed.

But from initial reply I take it I don’t need to change them at all ?

Correct. I certainly wouldn’t regard them as a maintenance item on the N52.
