Disa valve problems

Hi all, hope someone can help me with this as I'm stumped. I have a 2003 e85 3.0 that I'm slowly going through the little niggles, bought myself a code reader to see if I have any underlying problems, and sure enough p1511 shows up, looked on here and the mighty Google, its my disa valve showing an open circuit. I can sort that, bought a new one, went to fit it, went to unplug the old one, it's already unplugged, that will teach me, though oh well let's have a look at it, it is on the way out, wobbling about and the pin is about to fall out, great save, put the new one in, connected it, still have a p1511 code after clearing it. checked all wires going to it, all look lovely, no chaffing. Now it is dumping air when you turn the engine off and I can see the arm move when you start the car, so , is it possible that my cheap code reader isn't clearing the fault when it says it is? It's tourque with a eBay Bluetooth obd2. Anyone got any ideas as to what to do now?

most cheap code readers can clear codes, best state where you live as many have software like CARLY, INPA, DISv57 or ISTA to clear code

Sorry, live in Somerset, near Yeovil but work in pilton Glastonbury. That's what I thought about the code readers that they can erase codes, just can't figure out why I'm still getting the code after I replaced it, and I can see it move and hear it dump it's air, very strange.
