DISA Costs

Ive determined that the DISA is past its best, sounds more like a babies rattle, my local dealer (Elms Cambridge) hace quoted £234 inc VAT, i rang some BMW Parts online who quoted £108 for a Bosch unit??

What do we think??
 
coincetally, I have been reading the threads on maintaining and or replacing the DISA so today I took mine to bits, cleaned it and put it back. Hey presto, no noise and a bit better response from the long pedal. It looked a tiny bit worn and went back fine. I'll be looking to replace it soonish...... a phone call to Joe at Soper's is on the cards.
 
Looks like it only applies to six potters. Another benefit of the poor man's zed :driving:
