Disa check and replacement e86 3.0si

Hi all my e86 3.0si has now covered 150,000 miles I have heard reports of DISA failure, please can anyone point me in the right direction regarding a) Where the DISA is located and b) How to test it, is there a guide or video anywhere that could help thanks in advance

I think INPA cam do diagnostics on the DISA valves (you have two, one is easy to access, the other isn’t).

They don’t tend to fail like they do on the M54 though, why do you suspect they have failed?
