dirveshaft extractor tool?

Hi everyone. I want to remove my driveshaft without damaging it. I've tried 2 different tools but they don't fit, they won't clear the central lip and don't actually line upo with the stud holes (5 x 120). The Laser 5648 looks good as you build a frame around the hub but but it's over £400 and also doubles up as a hub remover. I've removed and dismantled the rear suspension, all I need is to press the splined axles out, anyone know of a reasonably-priced tool?

Some photos (after the steering paddles stuff). First pic shows a spider-type arrangement which wouldn't grip and then bent, second should have worked in principle but won't go over the central lip and doesn't line up with the studs. The other pics show that in more detail

If you have the hub and driveshaft out of the car,why not press the shaft out of the hub ?

Most garages have a 30 ton press and would do it for a packet of biscuits...
