Dirty Zeds

But at least the weather today gave us all some relief. Even my daughter couldn't stand the muck anymore...

Thanks. They are the 17" parallel winters. Can't wait to get the 18" staggered summer Style 32's back on...

I'm a bit worried that the rear door seems to drain through the exhaust pipes :o

You learn something every day - I didn't realise 32s came in 2 sizes.

As for your drainage concern, might your car be incontinent?

That picture pre cleaning wont give any of the purists hope, you need at least two buckets :) (at leasts that what i have been told)
I do own two buckets. Maybe I'll look into the technique once I've fixed the hose pipe so that it sprays water all over the car rather than the kitchen

Lots has been written on various websites like this for example http://www.detailingspot.com/?page_id=15

I think the water is probably running along the side of the tailgate, out beside the light and down the bumper.

The problem with Sterling Grey, is that it actually hides the dirt REALLY well.. This is just now, after about 2,200 miles over the last 7 or 8 weeks, which is when I last (had time to) washed it.. Not really that bad, compared to some..

- Stands back and waits for the onslaught from the OCD cleaners :D

On a good note, she is now completely free of the annoying little dents after a freebie once over from my tame dentman :)

Erm, part with my cherished 224's? I don't think so :D

Can but try!
A nice set will find there way to me eventually,
They would go well with my shiny new mm tips.

The little Coupe has done well this week, unlikely to get washed anytime soon either.

The interior, however, is immaculate 8)

It does seeme like the coupes are out there roughing it more than the roadsters. I thought the roadsters always gave us a hard time about being a much better year round car than the coupe.... :P

An oldie but remember having to drive the Z4 into a wet and muddy field at a trade show. It was caked.

Apologies to the gentle souls out there.

It's that time of year again.

Mine got in this state only 2 days after being washed and pristine.

This was less than 24 hours after washing him. I have washed him again in the meantime, honest

Had a 230 mile round trip to Leicestershire yesterday to look at a car and this is how it looked this morning! :(

Don't be daft. The hatchback is the one for the daily drudge. The roadster is for fun. :driving: :D
