Dirty Rain

Got in the car this morning to find it covered in dirty rain. It's like very fine soot. Noticed all the neighbours cars were the same.

Well I am sure my car will have it, even though it's in storage I found out it's outside for 6 months, its def going in for a double wash the day I get it out!!!

I knew I had seen this. I've just spent just over 4 hours cleaning the car and the bonnet had some right dirty marks on it. Looks like some kind of contaminate. I'm just wondering if the ash from the volcano in Iceland which is still doing its thing is the culprit? It took me about 45 mins to remove whatever it was from the paint as it seemed to have gone right through the layers of wax.

So if you've not washed your car recently, beware it might be a right pain to do. On the plus side it's all cleaned, polished and waxed abd looking ace and all my neighbours and their visitors have said they'd pay me to do there's but I'm going to have a dirty martini instead.

Was at the Main Dealers in the week and all their cars were covered as well.

If it looks like it's dirty rain again I'll be straight out afterwards to wash it off. Not going through that faff again. It's due for a complete strip, clay and wax soon. If I'd had more time today it would have been ideal.

Had mine in for it's inspection 2 last week. Came back looking like it had been cleaned with a bucket full of mud. I washed it again when I got it home. Back in for another set of front discs and pads this week. So I'll be keeping and eye on the sky and be ready to clean it again.

OCD is strong with this one.
