Dinner with Forum Members

Is he begging for more? I think he needs our posts to help him get better and certainly stronger too judging from the way his posts are making way more sense now that he is coming off those drugs!

That is some really good stuff! Took it for 2 days after I came home from surgery, don't remember much about those days cause I slept through them! Your posting is more coherent just before you get the percocet, when the pain is strongest and the words trickle from your finger tips!

Hey! ducky boy, had your chest tubes taken out yet

True story without embellishment or bs:

The chest tubes were the worst part of the whole procedure. On a scale of 10 (10 being the worst pain ever, zero being none) my hospital stay was good, 2.5 on the pain scale...until the day before the tubes are removed. First out was the epidural which I hit the button before they pulled it from me. No pain. The foley catheter was like a small marble on a string that is pulled out through your pecker, pain scale: 2.5. Now the best/worst for last: chest tubes. Phuque me this was not good. 2 tubes about 3/8" diameter, approx 8" long, each are perforated, pulled out one at a time: pain scale: 6.5. These tubes are in your chest via 2 holes. The holes are like sewer covers, and are pre-sutured. The bad news is that the sutures are like laced shoes that must be pulled tight. No local anesthetic, nada, pain scale: 10 out of 10 first on the one then the second, total time around 45 seconds. I swear that I told God right after that was done that I am going to heaven because I put up with the deepest most powerful pain I've ever endured. I have a medium to medium high pain threshold. This one got to me though.

What made it bad was I went in for keyhole surgery and came out with letterbox
a nice 10” scar :o It was 10 times the size it was meant to be and had popped and was poisoning me, bit of a close call.
but that bloody chest tube i will always remember.

My scar is 3" long because my Doctor is certified to use the V.A.T.S. method. Unfreakinbelievable. My family Doctor had a look at it and was amazed. Believe me, I am a lucky guy that was able to get this Doctor to this procedure. I am a grateful SOB and humbled by it all.
