DINAN!!!!

So today i went online looking for authorized Dinan dealers to try and haggle with for some sort of discount... I ended up calling about 5 dealers which 2 were no longer dealing with selling Dinan equipment or they were just not budging on the price "what you see on the Dinan site is what you pay" :headbang:

Well i was almost done with this wild goose chase for a little kick me back until i called Cravier BMW. I talked to a really nice lady who took my order after letting me know that all the items i wanted were on sale with them :thumbsup:

So tonight i pick up my Free Flow Muffler, Air box and Air Duct!!! :) Saved about 23% and i dont have to pay for shipping....just a bit of a drive that I look forward to :driving:

Ill post pics as soon as im done installing everything, just wanted to share this oh so happy moment ;)

And this means that i get the Dinan logo on my deck lid. 3+3+3=9pts plus the dinan pedals that i purchased online (1pt) = 10pts!!! I cant wait!!!! :D

Is it remapped ? I'm waiting for dinan to get the E89 software onto the market, that should be fun.
 
But seriously... I dont expect much gains from this, I guess i was just stuck on actually earning the Dinan badge and having the car sound better.... I know I know... I could have gone with other cheaper brands, but in my own little world...it made so much sence :thumbsup: :poke:

Oh and i believe it should be about 8 hp all together...dont quote me on that though...

No, thats the only thing i didnt get, i wanted to do a baseline dyno first, then add everything i just mentioned and then do another run with the remap...but dont think thats gonna hapen now... Time/money is a factor :( Unless someone is willing to lend me a dyno for a few runs for research purposes of course :wink: :roll:

I think it would be more fun to boost the hp and NOT put the dinan badge on, scare the M drivers a little. (I was one once)

I see "stuff" for the 3 .0 , talk to Dinan on the phone and ask what works on the si , I'm sure there is something. :D
 
Good to hear, I had to do some shopping to get what I wanted also! When you can GET THE SOFTWARE. Its not world changing, but it does push more air into the engine and itself does change the sound of it. I'd also recommend the Tower Brace, its does stiffen the front end up a bit.

Lol, and sorry to burst your bubble, but you wont be keeping up w/ an M. However a Nissan 350z will eat your exhaust! (My neighboor owns one and we frequently "measure" our engines, on closed private roads that is)

LoL! Yeah, I was just kidding about the M part ;) I wont say that until i get my ESS TS2 :driving:

I dont think ill get the software only because now im going to start saving up for the ESS and when i install it im going to have to reflash it anyways so it would be a waste of 400-500 bucks :\ The intake is staying in place as well as the air duct and the muffler so thats why i didnt mind blowing the money on those things.

I really want the tower brace with the sup braces but thats a little over my budget right now.... so Im sure ill be happy with what i got ;) And the horrible thing is that after all this, that damn SES light wont ever go off!

Im really looking forward to this weekend :) Now all i have to do is get my cat replaced by a dealer... I read either here or the other z forum that cats are covered 8 years or 80k miles :\ We'll see.
