Dinan Stage 2 Engine Software - Installed!

I had posted this topic on another forum, but I wanted to share some of my excitement here...

Anyways, I got off work early yesterday afternoon and I had some extra time, so I decided to get the Dinan Stage 2 Performance Software Installed. :D

I did not want to go back to the Dealer, they were charging way too much for the labor. So, I went to another authorized Dinan shop, and the install went well, and I saved $100... All I can say, is that the acceleration has definitely improved & and is much smoother. Also, prior to the software, when I had engaged the Sport Button I thought the car was nicely responsive. Now, the throttle response has improved two fold, much more quicker, and when you tap on the gas pedal, you go!... I now have to readjust myself and get used to the gas pedal sensitivity….It’s awesome, and has passed 100% with the But Dyno…. :thumbsup:

....Just submitted all of my paperwork to the Dinan Dealer for processing of obtaining my “Dinan S” Badge & Plaque…
Next Mod….The suspension….. :roll:

LOL...Sure, for as long as you take out the trash & recycle bins every week, wash the cars, clean the garage, and help out with the yardwork, and most important wash your own dishes, if you miss eating dinner with the family!...:D

LOL....the Dinan High Flow Intake & Ram Air Duct are the only other parts installed. After I have upgraded the suspension, I will see what is next on the list. :D

I thought its suppoed to be a Dinan Z badge and not the Dinan S? I thought Dinan S was for ther Cooper.
 
Chips messing w/ software=bad..I hope the minor significant BHP gains are worth it 'cause I've heard some horror stories that wasn't worth that minor upgrade on other straight 6 liners..

Good luck w/ that 'improvement'..

Dinan mods are BMW approved so I don't think I'd worry about software changes from them or other reputable companies like ESS, etc. However, there are some shady things out there. Just look on ebay! I'd think most of the problems would come from these sorts of operations.

Not really....
Dinan warranty's it's own product.

Ok, well you're right, it kinda is covered but the BMW dealer needs to be authorized to do the work/repair..sooo, I'd still would take a pass on doing a chip, but whatever..
