The sat nav screen on my '03 often takes a while to 'warm up'.
I've searched for other posts on this but the best I could find was a suggestion that the auto lights function might be interfering with the brightness level. I've tested with auto on & off with no apparent difference.
What I have found is that shining a torch onto the light sensor on the right side of the display causes the brightness of the display to increase. Removing the light source returns the screen to dim. I'm believe this auto brightness control is to compensate fore top down in bright sunshine & night time driving.
Given enough time the screen always attains the required brightness level.
Has anybody found an answer to this problem?
