So,

I have stored my z4 for the past 2 week and decided to put a tarp under my car, away from the concrete from moist... HOWEVER, my garage has a huge incline so putting it on Neutral and pushing it is not an option... If i have to start to car for like 10sec.. is that really bad for the car prior to storing it away? :(

OR

Should I drive it around for 30min again and wash/wax the car all over again? :(

Thanks for the advice guys

Calm down Vince
Where the heck are you located in Canada ?

Appears that you are all worked up over tarping the bottom of the Zed.
I understand that moisture can invade your storage area via the concrete slab.
True - That can be a source of moisture but there also could be a vapour barrier under the slab.
And short of encapsulating the car in a plastic dome (Don't laugh - Harley owners know that such a product exists including a big bag of that chemical dryer)
You are always going to get some moisture.
Remember this Forum is located mostly in England and those poor people get rain like every day it seems.
They are experts on dealing with moisture.
My advice. The floor tarp is overkill and your Zed will be comfy enough in the garage.
Just my 2 cents (if we still had cents over here)

Mine in stored over winter in a garage with plastic sheeting over the concrete floor. I don't quite understand your post Vince, is the Zed already stored? and you wish to put some plastic sheeting down? if so then I wouldn't worry about it unless you have white patches on the surface of the concrete floor indicating dampness, otherwise just get the car out lay some sheeting down and park back up and leave it over winter, you could leave the car running for a good 45 mins or so to warm it through otherwise if its a 2 minute job just get the car out and back in.

The worst you can you do is starting the car every so often over winter thinking it will do it good, just store and leave it until the spring.

unless the moisture is acidic, i cant see what the problem is. these cars are built to withstand water and im sure the moisture would be negligible..... im going to be driving mine through water, salt and snow over this winter period and im not worried about it

Thats OK if you're giving the car back in 15 months lol
