As I noted before - neat idea, but useless in the real world.
Peugeot, Citroen et al have done it and dropped it. I recall geting into a Citroen in Poland and having to phone the hire company for the pin as I forgot it. They told me it was written on the sun visor
A few years ago many US cars had keypads on the door and again dropped.
History is full of great fails such as the Allegro square steering wheel, the 8 track (age thing there) and too many more to list
