Digital ignition with Pin number

As I noted before - neat idea, but useless in the real world.

Peugeot, Citroen et al have done it and dropped it. I recall geting into a Citroen in Poland and having to phone the hire company for the pin as I forgot it. They told me it was written on the sun visor :rofl: :rofl:

A few years ago many US cars had keypads on the door and again dropped.

History is full of great fails such as the Allegro square steering wheel, the 8 track (age thing there) and too many more to list

I think this is genius - with an awesome clean install... admitedly would drive me crazy if i had it.

Seems you a bit of a wizard with this stuff.. why not just have a fully keyless entry system? so you carry a card size transponder and everything opens and starts :?
 
I made one with finger print, but I personally like the pin number better it also cost less, about the battery if it dies it's okay since I have capacitors that keep charge on it at all times able to one operation w/o power, Also I still have the keys in case I need it (not with me tho). and for the above that ask if I just bypass the immobilizer here is my answer:

The EWS I, II, III are the best immobilizer out there and I would be stupid to not use it. so no I didn't just cut the thing and bypassed it it would not make sense for me after all the money invested on my car to make it easier to someone come and take it from me.

Also yeah I could use a card etc.. but my deal is not have to be worrying about finding my keys or anything like it in the case I need to leave fast.
 
Guys I few that some of you are little jealous of my system and some of you are not cool with it. This is what I like and I don't need to sell this for any reason. so please take it easy on me I'm new here but not to a Z4M. Thank's for the comments tho.
 
Nothing is on the outside, I have an internal touch sensor that sense ground from human touch under the panel of the door and that goes to the system and open the doors, it's invisible, I still trying to make a video of it but I have being very busy lately because I will put on the market very soon a new exhaust system for Z4M and that is eating my time. :thumbsup:
 
Diokaef, If you like it then that is all that really matters, Thanks for showing it, Personally I would not have one I prefer to get in turn a key and go. I do however think that if you actually made and put this together then you should consider marketing it, I'm pretty sure they would sell well for a variety of cars. :thumbsup:
 
I patented the design but I have not really market this, only about 70 of this were sold in this last 10 months via youtube inquires and car shows in the area. I do have other projects that are priority in my vision for the next year, like the exhaust that I'm designing for the Z4M. :thumbsup:

Always nice to see people trying different things out :thumbsup:

Had a 306 (XSi - flippin' great car!) with a keypad immobiliser. First couple weeks it required a lot of thought, after that it became second nature. Biggest issue became trying to enter the code twice, having done it once without realising it. I did like the idea that if an amateur car thief had my keys they still couldn't start the car.
