Diffrence between US and Euro xenon headlights??

Those are Bi-Xenon lamps that were available through a few European outlets. I do not believe these were ever standard issue on a Z4. On the 2006 Z4 US version, the lamps were Xenon with the elimination of the one beam. This is my best guess anyway.

even on the same LHD models i think Europe model's light beam pattern is different

and obviously if you are buying a LHD headlight and you have a RHD car, you will blind the on coming traffic

I reckon it's because asymmetric lights are mandatory in European states (check the advert...)

Yes I saw that but whats asymmetric lights?!

That the driver side light points a little more down than the passanger one in order not to "flash" the oncoming traffic.

I'm no lighting specialist, but there are some distinct errors in this thread

Firstly asymetric refers to where the beam pattern of both lights is not cut off flat on dipped, rather for example on a RHD that the left hand side faces up higher illuminating the footpath/hedge while the right side is flat so as not to dazzle oncoming drivers. Hope you can follow that. I believe LHD US cars, which includes these lights, do not use this pattern, rather that it is 'flat' left to right. US driver - please confirn.

Next Bi-xenon is not 2 sets of xenon bulbs, but rather that a shutter is activated betwen main and dipped to allow the light pattern to change. In conventional headlights this change would have been created by lighting different filaments in the bulb.

IMHO these lights could be used in the Europe however you would have to change the rear half of the projector assembly inside the light housing to EU versions. Yes - it can be done as I've already built tested and installed a set for someone. Is it worth doing - 'no' because there are many other issues that need fixing, but if you have a spare pair of xenons around it's easy

Hope this helps.
