Hello all
Zed is in the dealers today for a couple of warranty bits including for them to confirm that my "knocking" noise is the below TIS known issue
(this also has affected some others on here )

Got a call from dealer to say yes this is the problem but it would not be covered under warranty - but without a real explination as to "why". Total cost to do the work for this £380 ish, mostly labour, few quid for 2 bits. They advised this is wear and tear...really? They said the part has become "dry" and requires lubrication.
I have challenged them and waiting for them to come back to me. I referenced the BMW warranty policy handbook .pdf and referenced pages 17 and 21.

Thoughts would be appriciated
Cheers!
Jamie
