Camskill usually, although you won't find 255/40r18, you'll have to get 265/40r18 (that's what I'm using).

They don't stock them, but will order them in.

However, even with their 20% discount on 4, they're still not competitive (or they weren't when I last priced them up).

I can get them from Blackcircles for £236 fitted each (rears). Is that a decent price?

How do you find the 265 width? No problems with scrubbing or anything?

I got my last pair for about £200-£210 and then pay £7.50 per tyre for fitting. But I'm sure the price will fluctuate throughout the season, so the price isn't too far out.

Only had rubbing on extreme cornering (at the 'Ring mainly), and that was solved with a full alignment back to original spec 2 years or so after the last alignment.

If I t is really a weekend/track car,then I would go for an all out R compound tyre.

I have just fitted Avon ZZRs all round - seems to be the latest track day tyre, and the new control tyres for all the Lotus race championships, including the Evora which is not dissimilar weight to the M.

Haven't done anything except tootle about so far, so can't comment on performance yet, however' in the races they are showing as measurably faster than the previous control tyre, which was the excellent Yokohama A048.

Only issue is size as they only make two sizes in 18", so the front has to be 225/40 which is a little small, so it doesn't really fill the arch. Rears are fine at 265/35.

I ordered them in 265/40/18. I'm not going to have any issues with the tyres scrubbing am I?

Having used kwikfit before( company cars), take a photo of each wheel beforehand. Not all the fitters are the most careful of people... And tell them to be careful!

Not unless your alignment was as far out as mine

I've done about 100 laps of the 'Ring and about 20k miles since I had my alignment corrected and I've not heard any scrubbing noises.
