Different model Z4's

Hi,
I am naive I know when it comes to BMW but can anyone advise me please as to what the different Z4's are and what their differnces are? I thought there was only one Z4 DUH!
 
Better duck and cover now as a lot of info is going to be coming at you. You just have to know one thing, "roadsters trump coupes" :poke: That should get some hackles up.... :evil: ,,,,but E89 's are a Royal Flush...

Stats on : 2.0 , 2.2, 2.5, 3.0, M. Engines / outputs varied over the years, that link (and the official FAQ) gives details.

2.0 is a 4 cylinder, all the others are 6. You want a 6. :) IMO BMW = straight six. They have a certain sound, feel and urgency that is pure BMW.

In your situation I would go for 3.0 (any generation). Great engine, best of all worlds.

I like 'em both but I've gotta have the sunshine and the open air feel. This is my 4th "convertible" if you count a 68 Vette that I used and abused for a while back in the 70's (twas the Father in Law's but he lost his license for DUI) :lol:

Cut the guy a little slack, the FAQ isnt easily noticed, and not everyone comes to the site up and running on how things work, :thumbsup:

For me a roadster must have the ability to get the wind in your hair and the flies on your teeth. Four\six who cares it is the rag top that counts for me. If I wanted to go fast I would buy a scoobie and be a complete tosser
