Different coloured skirt-

Hi all-panic moment number 212 :roll: -was just in my garage with the sun shining through the windows at a certain angle,the sun was shining on my passenger door,rear panel and skirt,the skirt looked a different shade :cry: -should this be noticable?-the car is monaco blue but the skirt looked a bit more purple-never noticed this before!

The Z4's design does that - many times where I've thought the colour match is wrong on my panels - in fact I was looking at the front bumper the other day, the colour match is perfect, but pick the wrong angle and it looks off. Same with most of the other points on the car where there is a change of angle.

Also you never get a perfect colour match when switching between materials (plastic / steel / aluminium). I noticed the Mk3 MX-5 was particularly poor with the metal / plastic colour matching with grey & winning blue.
 
Try looking at a Mk2 focus if you really want to see how bad a colour match can be achieved between metal and plastic out of the factory!
 
I used to think my wifes OCD was bad, now I come on here and it's all put in perspective. :poke: :wink:

Is it just the car or everything in general?

I used to worry about lots of things to the point it started to make me ill but then I eventually learned if you cant affect it, why worry about it :D
 
Seem to have trouble relaxing-eg-kids with footballs in the street with my wifes 57 punto and sons 09 corsa sxi on the front,watching them wellying high in the air-dont need to go on :cry:
