Diff questions

Hi All,

I am an E46 M3 Driver, and hear lots of things about people using Z4 diffs to change ratios, does anyone know about this ?

I've heard there is a 4,1 diff available ?

I had an e46 m3 for 4 years and never heard anything like that?
The diffs in the z4m and m3 are to all intents and purposes identical, certainly the ratios are the same.
4.1 cwp is available from bmw.
 
No worries. If you want a 4.1 diff built I hear you could do worse than these guys http://www.jcracing.info
I think the only parts e46 guys like to 'nick' from z4s are the steering racks (z4m coupe has the fastest BMW rack available as far as I know) and the offset lollipop bushes for the fcabs which will give you more caster.
