Did you have any toughts about methanol

Well with the price of combustibles rising I started to investigate about methanol as alternative to petrol. In the April issue of the BMWCAR magazine there is an article about a E92 335 on which his owner made some seriuos tuning. One of the mod's he made was introducing the Vishnu methanol injectors http://procedetuning.com/BMW/n55/methanol/methanol.html
I want to hear your opinion!
 
I may be wrong, but i thought methanol /water injection was to reduce the charge temperature on turbocharged cars, not as an alternative fuel.

It is maybe because I was very drunk when I took the magazine in my hand! Yes that's it, it won't repeat again! I promise it!

I just wanted to add that the only thought I have is to avoid drinking it

or maybe you are asking about the methanol injection? :poke:
 
Seriously I was thinking about the mod's required if in the future I would run my N52 on methanol. This is just a thought having in minde that price of petrol is constantly rising. All I know about methanol is that it has the flash point much higher then petrol and it has problems evaporating in winter conditions but on the other side it has the octan number higher. What is about the injectors, feed pump, fuel lines??? Does anybody have any article about that?
