Did I just grab a bargain?

I think I may have just grabbed myself a bargain. German Ebay, a breaker selling a RHD genuine carbon leather dash trim for £170. I never do make full use of that 'Make an Offer' button, so I gave it a go. Surprisingly he (or she) accepted my first offer and I managed to knock another £30 off the price, I guess there's not a great demand for RHD accessories in Germany.

However, that posed a dilemma... I don't have a leather centre console and neither did he, and I don't know how well my gunmetal one would match up so I had a browse through the rest of his stuff. It just so happened that he had a RHD Piano Black center console at £130. I made use of that handy little button again and Kaboom! Another £30 knocked off straight away. £13 delivery for both and both in excellent condition if the photos are to be believed.

I'm hoping the two go ok together now otherwise it's going to kill my buzz. An even bigger buzz kill would be if someone popped up on here to convince me that I've actually over paid... so don't ruin the dream people :thumbsup:

I did look up how much each were new and I was looking at at around £680 and £450 for the two, so I'm a winner anyway.

That's all, just thought I'd share :)
 
The individual leather dash came with piano black centre tunnel anyway I'm pretty sure, so will look oem :thumbsup:
Edit: individual leather did, but carbon leather didn't
Will still look awesome though

I've had the hand brake recess done in carbon fiber and the odd bits here and there but the aluminium dash and center console I just sprayed with some decent paint. Much prefer the OEM job lot though and these just seemed too good to miss.
 
Sound like a bargain. Makes you wonder how the right hand drive stuff ended up in germany!

Ah it's ok I've had it in and out a few times now so I'm used to it, but yeah it is a bit. Center console needs everything pulling out, dash isn't so bad.

I wish I could spot a few more of these bargains, could make a pretty penny just selling them on.

The dash is the easy bit, it's the centre console that's the real PITA!

Ah right, I've often skirted with a leather dash but then I'd have the problem of matching my aluminium centre console

That was my issue too. If I didn't find the Piano Black center console I was contemplating just spraying mine black, but it wouldn't have had that veneer finish and might have looked a bit crap in reality.

You could go for one of those DIY jobs on ebay, the ones that just supply the leather and the rest is down to you... I bought their handbrake gaiter and even that was a nightmare to fit!
