Did Bavarian Autosport Send me the wrong CDV????

Guys:

Sort of an emergency.. I am about to go in for Inspection II + Brake fluid flush and the mechanic agreed to help install the CDV for free while he's doing the brakes.

However, I just noticed that the lock valve which Bavarian Autosport sent me has 4 fins.

At both RealOEM and at Zeckhausen.com, it appears that the Z4 one should have only one fin.

I think Bavarian Autosport may have sent me the Z3 unlock valve.

Are the parts interchangeable or do I need to return this one and get the brake flush another day?

Just got off the phone with the Bavarian autosport guy and he said that the only thing that matters is the diameter/fitment and not the number of fins etc. He said they only carry a couple of different unlock valves for several BMWs and that this should fit.

I'm a bit skeptical but I will take this to the mechanic and ask them if they think it'll fit. If not, then I will have to skip the brake flush today.

Still, would appreciate advice from you guys ASAP if possible

Not sure what you mean with fins though. It is just a bolt with a narrowing in the middle for the normal valve, and that narrowing is removed for the modified one.

What is the fin you are talking about in the below picture?

Look at figure 4 of that website

The one I ordered looks like the Z3 one.

The Z4 one looks exactly like the picture which you've pasted
