did anybody install HD-LINK IW04B-N video interface?

realized that the phone didn't get enough juice by using the video device's USB port for charging

though the specs says it outputs 1 A, tried to measure it with the Ampere app, which showed ~500 mA

I re-plugged the cable to the outlet below the dashboard and charging is perfect now :rofl:

though the Ampere app only shows ~150 mA, what is confusing a bit :o
 
When you say "didn't get enough juice" do you mean it was discharging (under normal use) or was just not charging up? I ask because with the Android screen on Apple CarPlay / Android Auto it keeps it charged but only as you use it, it doesn't really charge up.
Keeping charge is ok for me as that means it's as good at the end of the journey as it was to begin with.
 
it was discharging, losing charge with time - I didn't test it while not using the phone

now it charges, increasing steadily

my Huawei mobile automatically switches to Easy Projection mode once it detects that there's a display at the other end and just runs

this is really just how to replace the sockets, which are made for E90 by the vendor, but no new one is needed - coming then :)

I have a huawei mate 10 pro - right now Huawei and Honor phones are compatible which can do Easy Projection

No, sorry, I was asking how you mount your mobile to the Z4. What phone cradle. I'm wondering what it is anchored/connected to in the car.
