Hi

I'm having an issue with the mbr 1500 unit which I hope someone can help with

I have the unit installed firmware is upgraded to 7111 I can pair my iPhone (it doesn't ask me for a pin though)

If I try to either play music or make a call there is no audio however text for the song appears on the display (single line bmw business cd)

Car is 2004 2.2 SE

Thank you in advance

I saw something about switches on the back of the head unit but didn't understand

Unit is totally plug and play so if you are getting some signals from it but not fully working, the dip switches you mentioned in your post may be set wrong.

Unplug all cables from the Unit so it is totally powered down then for Single line - Non-Nav units both switches should be on the Up/Off position - If you have Multi-Line display or Nav Unit set the switch on the left on the Down/On position and the other on Up/Off. Plug back into power and it should work fine.

Hi dips on the mbr are both set to off (did this when I upgraded the unit) single line business cd

Nothing potentially on the back of the radio itself as it's had a parrot or similare by its previous owner ?

Damaged cable/faulty unit ??

Thank you in advance

Thank you for the welcome :)

Also, something else I noticed when I paired the phone I wasn't prompted to enter a pin and also the oei control app in my iPhone doesn't detect the unit

I'm tempted to reflash the unit but can't locate the firmware to manually download

Just to update you on this I've got it working

Removed the vents and then the CD player harness cable was secure however ......

There's a secondary cable that for the auto changer mount point which had been disconnected (connected that up and everything is cool as groovy!!!
