First impressions, (standard 6 speaker no Nav, with Cd Changer).

The install is very easy, especially as the 3 and 6 pin leads are already located in the Cd Changer. £120 purhcase price is much cheaper than the Intravee II, (which with my simple set-up would be overkill possibly).

1) There seems some annoying interference (noise) from the iPod (160GB Classic) HDD. You can hear it seeking between tracks at times. Also this background noise is slightly evident when volume is high and the track is very quiet. Maybe it's cable routing/proximity, but I doubt it as I experienced the same when I mocked it up in the boot prior to full install.

2) Even with the DUO gain at Max and "Sound check" disabled with max volume setting on the iPod the difference in volume is quite significant from that of the radio. So switching sources needs volume adjustment.

Function-wise it seems reasonable, in locked mode the iPod can be navigated quite well from the head unit, although there is an annoying 1-2 second delay between selecting and "seeing" the next track, album, artist etc. The text displays OK and getting to the >Song >Artist >Album >Playlists is straightforward.

PS. I updated the firmware on the DUO before installation.
