Does this let air through into the engine bay or is it a solid wall of plastic behind what can be seen ?

Hi Mavster, its not solid and allows plenty of breathing space. Its one of those things thats easily reversible if I decided to change it back, I felt it freshens up the front end and ties in better with the diamond pattern of the lower grilles.

They don’t look horrendous- but that’s only really because you can’t really see the detail. I’m not a fan of the newer styling by BMW - in that sense it’s not as bad as the grille on the new Z4!

Ok that's good.

The more you look at them, the more you can still see the traditional vertical slat in the design, just a little bit different/ updated now.

Thanks, the ones on your car appear to have the chrome highlights, the only ones I can see on that site are all plain gloss black. Maybe they have sold out, will check with them tomorrow.
