Diamond Key Remote

Forgive me if this has been covered before but I would like to know if I should be cycling the use of my remote keys as they are supposed to be charged by the car when in use, so the spare could eventually go flat if not used. Is this correct or a myth? Can the battery in the remote be changed? Anyone any experience with key battery replacements?

Thanks

yes you should try and cycle them as they do charge in use...I may be wrong but i think you can still replace them if they go flat

You're right they charge when driving, but don't panic as they hold the charge for months and even if fllat you just open the door by key, alarm sounds engine on and your good to go.

Battery is rechargeable and need the key cutting open and ew battery soldering in. As posted a pita to do
