Hi Everyone,

I was just looking through the forum ( as ya do ) and noticed this picture : http://www.finedrive.com/mcoupe/meinm.jpg

could anyone tell me if these dials are standard on the M models with the white back light? they look amazing... if they are standard does anyone know if you can fit the M dials ( maybe including the heat lights around the RPM ) on a 3.0 2004...???

thanks
Danny

You may find it easier to just change the LEDs on yours to white, so that's another option to consider. The VXR forum was full of people who changed theirs to all sorts of colours.

Yes those are standard although the slightly long exposure of that shot makes it looks a bit cooler. You can adjust their brightness though and i have mine very low. More restful and as few distractions as possible when night driving.

You can't put an M one into a non-M. It's not compatible, things are in different places and I think the M has more signs on it's speedo. there's also the difference in RMP range, etc.

Hmmm very interesting - may look at changing the lights behind the speedo then... but if im doing that, it would make sense to run a wire down to the sport button to have the dials change colour when in sport...

white = normal
red = sport

a bit Astra-ish but still quite a nice touch... hmmm not so sure now that I think about it...

thoughts?

love that idea, the colour change would be well cool.

maybe add a voice saying "..buckle up..."....when you press the sport button, in the voice of KIT of course.

And "un-buckle" when you turn it off. ?

Hm, change the LEDs. Simple and elegant. May have to look into that. One of the world's larger manufacturers of LEDs is just down the road-Cree. Wonder if they have an outlet store? :?

One other difference with the M--temp is oil temp not water temp.
