Diagonal braces in engine bay

After some help from people with access to technical info,
I know the flanged nuts that are use to fasten a strut brace are single use, is this the same for the nut an bolt on either end of the diagonal brace , and what would be the correct torque , if any one could send a link or cut an paste the info for both that would be great, thanks

Can't help with the torque settings, but I was getting a clunking from the front end and gave both nuts a nip up. It cured my clunking.

Thanks, not getting any noise, about to replace them, an don't want to start something without knowing all involved

Just looking, the TIS bulletin was dated 07/2006 and is for vehicles up to production date October 2006.

Titled "Noises from the dome strut mount area"

http://bmw.workshop-manuals.com/Z_Series_E85/Z4_2.0i_N46_ROADST/index.php?id=100

The old bracket shape was used until May 2006 which is identified by an M10 bolt welded in. Torque is 41nm.

After May 2006 the nut was welded to the new bracket instead. It suggests installing a new screw/bolt and torque up to 56nm + 105 degrees + or - 15 degrees. Screw and washer 07 11 9 906 010

If you need a new strut mount to weld on it is 41 007 193 040

Torque of the 3 strut nuts on top of the dome is 34nm but should be replaced if removed. Part 31316769731

"Strut mount fracture, no sir not in these parts, never heard of it"
