Diagnostics for Valvetronic reset (gasket)

I suspect there is a slight leak from the Valvetronic gasket on my car.
Would this eBay diagnostic tool help reset it correctly after the new gasket is installed?

That’s a useful tool to have

But when I changed my gaskets I just adjusted it by hand- you can use the throttle adaptations reset manually as well

Thanks. I need to find that out and learn then.

I am 99% sure I did a write up how to have a search… I found it a fairly easy job to do

The trick was to get the right gasket for the black or silver top and the right bolts - silver top needs new, black top can reuse

I’ll have a search. I’m not sure if it is leaking now. Could be residue from when the rocker cover gaskets were replaced last month. Had a good clean there and a steady drive out and then checked. Found no more residue/leaks.
Good to know this information just in case it does leak.
