Diagnostic tool - torque for Android?

Hi all, I've had my Z4C 3.0 about 6 weeks now, and after a little bit of a hoon yesterday, this morning it had the orange engine light illuminated. Well... it wouldn't be an old BMW if you didn't have that light up from time to time

Anyway, its since gone out again... but it got me thinking that having a tool to read error codes would be a good idea.

I've seen it mentioned on here before, but also my mate has it (uses it on an RX8), an app called "torque" which connects to a bluetooth OBD tool. Is this something I can use for reading error codes, I'd be interested if it does as it seems to have a lot of other useful functionality. Anyone able to advise?

yes bud it will read your codes, u can pick up a cheap bt obd reader for a few quid on amazon and torque for free, worthwhile investment

As above for the android Torque PRO app and bluetooth OBD

I did buy the full-house BM cables kit for coding with a laptop but was way beyond me and scared myself when it started flashing messages about confirming the deletion of a module, so aborted, accepted my limitations and sold the cables to another member

I've hooked Torque Pro up to several mates cars with fault lights including a later model Discovery and it gives you a decent starting point to research and diagnose issues and will clear codes as well.

The difference between torque and carly is carly can read and clear codes aswell as code options that in the past you would of needed sss progman to do. Torque is just for code reading and clearing.

this one has worked for me , reading and clearing codes ,

you can monitor some live data too
