I had to get my door resprayed this year after someone scrapped it all along in a parking incident and drove off.
Swapped to aero skirts at the same time as the skirt was trashed too... total cost £1100 inc £300 for the skirts

My sig picture below has them.... they protrude out more... very subtle, especially on black.
Look awesome on lighter cars... silver grey etc.
It was an OEM body kit you could purchase from BMW on the E85 which included front and rear bumper, spoiler and side skirts. Like this:
Then non aero owners tend to love the skirts, me included and by them on their own for E85/E86. Such as:

Doesn't look too bad to me. Think a couple of hundred quid at the body shop and it'll be as good as new

+1 - alternatively, some polyfilla, very fine sanding paper and a wee tin of Umbrol model paint
Seriously, sounds and feels painful, hurts your eyes, but that looks like it is easily fixed
Lol when I first saw that I thought why is he posting a pic of a scrapyard full of cars, then I realised it was actually a road....

Thanks Alan, driving here is lethal... this was the scene of one of my journeys to the office not so long ago
It's only a flesh wound; that's small enough to do yourself just pick up a aerosol of the correct colour and you're good to go; rub it down carefully with some fine wet and dry going just outside of the actual damage area. Mask off an area 20mm outside the area you rubbed down and then spray the area feathering towards the masked area. (make sure the paint can is shaken for at least 3 mins to get a good paint mix).
Give it a couple of coats letting each dry, then remove the masking material and then very, very gently using T-Cut, feather the edge of the painted area into the non-painted area.
Then mask up again and give it a couple of coats of clear coat to seal the paint and give a high gloss finish.
Once this is dry, remove the masking material and again gently T-Cut the new clear coat to feather it.
Finally get the polish out and give the area a damn good buff and polish.
Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours especially if you use a hairdryer to help the paint go off quicker.
