Can anyone recommend a good detailing company in Yorkshire (hopefully South)

Had too many bad experiences with so called 'professional companies' :thumbsdown: so only use recommendations now.

Any advice appreciated :D
 
Whereabouts are you ?

The best in "our" area is Matt at Obsidian detailing,he is in Delph...

He is the man......You wont find better.
 
Aye....not far away then and definatly worth the 50 mins (or so) ride..

I do detailing myself....Not to Matts level though...

What are you after being done??

Basically the worse your paint,or the more perfect you want it will cost more money.

What have you had done before by your "professional companies" that have put you off ?

I have just bought the car and want a good starting point.

There are a few scratches and marks to remove and a good general clean up. The paintwork is relatively good anyway but I want better!!!

The professional comment was regarding the amount of cowboys out there doing various trades - not specific to detailing.
 
Ah... I get ya..

Well.... You get what you pay for in detailing,you can get the car looking better in half a day as the paint could be filled with glaze and sealed.

It wouldnt last of course...

You can go the whole hog and have the car wet flatted to get rid of orange peel,scratches and all marks..Usually costing between £700-£1000 but can take a couple of weeks..Some of the costs are the products used and whether you wanted it sealing with a wax,sealer or some of the new nanocoat tech..

Better to get a figure in your head of what you think you want to pay and say how good will it look for £xxx ?

Matt wont fill you with cr@p to get the work,he is honest and will tell you the score..
 
Not used myself, but seen a lot on DW from http://reflectology.co.uk/ - He's in Sheffield and looks to do some good work :)
